Who We Are

IWRC is a grass roots, community-based resource centre that is dedicated to working with women and families since 1984. IWRC’s office is in Gimli, Manitoba. Counselling and programs are available to all the communities within our catchment area.

How We Can Help
Everyone's needs are a little bit different, which is why we have a wide range of services available to support you in your journey to safety and recovery.

Crisis Intervention
Walk in or phone. We can help arranging for transportation to shelter, development of a protection plan. This is a voluntary service provided to assist abuse survivors in finding out the options and resources available.

Counselling
We offer single counselling for women, single counselling for children/youth, child/youth & parent counselling, and group counselling. These services are all available by appointment.

Community
Outreach
Counsellors may be able to meet in communities throughout our catchment by appointment to allow for ease of access.
Supportive peer-based community programming is also available throughout the Interlake region.
