Description
Interlake Counselling & Resource Centre (ICRC) is seeking a Mobile/Outreach Counsellor to provide trauma-informed counselling, outreach, advocacy, and group programming throughout the Interlake region of Manitoba.
This position supports individuals facing barriers related to transportation, crisis, safety, geography, social isolation, and access to services. The role combines direct counselling, outreach support, community engagement, and facilitation of group counselling and wellness programs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Individual counselling and crisis support
- Mobile, outreach, virtual, and community-based service delivery
- Intake, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals
- Development and facilitation of support groups and community programs
- Community outreach and partnership development
- Documentation, reporting, and program evaluation
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in counselling, social work, psychology, human ecology, human services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, prior learning, community-based experience, and lived/living experience
- Experience supporting individuals impacted by trauma, violence, crisis, or mental health concerns
- Experience facilitating groups or community programs is considered an asset
- Valid Manitoba driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
